Tynegrain is the North’s leading grain drying and storage co-operative wholly owned by more than 100 farmer members.

Tynegrain benefits from it's deep water export berth on Tyne Dock. Built in 1983 we now dry up to 80,000 tonnes of oilseed rape and cereals per annum. Our export facility despatches, on average, 200,000 tonnes of products to countries world-wide every year.

Tynegrain provides Northern cereal growers direct farmer controlled export access to European and International markets through the 70,000 MT capacity silo.

Deep water vessels of up to 55,000 MT can be competitively loaded at our silo with sales achieved to a wide range of destinations including Algeria, China, Cyprus, Italy, Israel, Korea, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.

Tynegrain specialise in the storage, drying and segregation of all types of wheat and barley, from feed grade right through to high-end milling/bread-making wheats and malting barley. In addition, we also store and grade oilseed rape for distribution to the food and biofuel industries both at home and abroad.

Tynegrain is also the owner of GrainCo, the largest grain trading and marketing business in the North of England and Scotland.

Tynegrain Agriculture provides a pooled buying service for farm inputs such as seed, fertilisers and pesticides.
